*HARDWARE STORE*

The pale blue concrete building is HUGE, easily two stories in height, and the parking lot is partly taken up by a frontside loading & unloading bay. Although you DO spot two of the storefront windows boarded up by pieces of metal.
|
|
|
|
Inside, the aisles are floor to ceiling, and every inch is covered in every kind of building material, plumbing, electrical, cleaning, hand & power tool, and lawn & garden accessory you could imagine.
|
|
|
|
You are immediately approached by a TALL bull man with tied back brown hair in a black apron over a dark blue tee shirt and blue jeans, his gold nametag reading ULRICH. "Welcome in, can I help ya find anything?"
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
*ANYTHING BUT WOOD*
|
|
"Oh we got that in spades, right over here." He guides you all to a nearby aisle, and points out exactly what you are looking for. And the price is cheap, even for hardware store standards.
|
|
|
|
(NOTICE Roll)
|
|
On your way to the registers, you hear a commotion in the building supply aisle, and notice several angry people. Nearly every type of wood rack is completely empty, save for some small scraps.
|
|
|
|
*IF THEY ASK*
|
|
"Hm? Oh. THAT."
|
|
|
|

|
|
|
*IF WOOD*
|
|
He inhales sharply through his teeth and carefully asks, "What KIND of wood exactly..?"
|
|
|
|
*AFTER THEIR RESPONSE*
|
|
"Well uh... hm... I doubt we have a substantial amount, but let's go take a look." He guides you to the building supply aisle, and nearly every type of wood rack is completely empty, save for some small scraps.
|
|
|
|

|
|
"We can't exactly get more right now, the uh... supply chain is interrupted, and..." He sighs and rubs the back of his neck in frustration.
|
|
|
|
"Alright, I'm gonna level with you guys, we can't get into the Lumberyard to get more. Something fucked up happened over there, something NASTY. Everyone is too afraid to go in, and those that did, didn't come back out. Been a year since we got new supply, and whatever we CAN get usually gets earmarked for housing needs."
|
|
|
|
*IF THEY WANT TO GO*
|
|
He seems genuinely shocked. "Well... it's your funeral. Let me show you where you gotta go."
|
|
|
|
He walks over to a nearby endcap, grabs a fresh map, and points out a black spot on the southwestern side of the rock wall around Diadem.
